Private James Samuel Dickerson

Born on the 2 November 1848 the son of A Lanson and Matilda Anderson Dickerson.

He enlisted on the 23 May 1861.

Sick with fever at Bath Alum Springs (West),VA, and went home to recuperate.

Was discharged as underage on the 1 August 1862.

He married Matilda ‘Tilde’ Louise Anderson on I May 1870, and they had 13 children.

He died on 18 October 1921 and is buried in the Dickerson Cemetery, Smith County TN.
